Hi, I live in Dolan Springs about 40 miles out of Hoover Dam. The heat hardly ever gets over 100 degrees here but all my chickens are in the afternoon shade and they do very well but they do have fresh water at all times and I spray them a little sometimes. And the shade they have is from fruit trees which I think is much better shade than a shade cloth of some kind.
