I have some 4 week old RIR mixes. They are starting to feather up good at this point.. what I want to know is when will they stop making the peep peep noise and turn into more of a cluck?

In my experience its all a little different. I have some 2 1/2 month old maran and wyandottes and they're still kinda peeping when the others pick on them, but their sisters are the same age and they're starting to cluck a little more. I say about 3 months it'll be almost to a hault.

These words are true! When I gathered eggs today, my Barred Rock was letting me know she was not happy about me taking them. I am glad I don't speak chicken, as I am sure what she was saying was not flattering.​
