I am not firing on all cylinders tonight, are there any articles on this available?
I mean, I am GREAT at growing some sort of larvae in my compost (where the chickens have no access) and the last batch I decided to not give to the hens, it was mostly on coffee grounds.
And yeah, the HUGE watermelon, dissolved into nothing but a handful of 'worms' I made the local bird population happy I am sure.

The girls like their grub worms if they can get them (we are looking into some modifications but they will have to wait until some 'RL' problems are solved)
And their crickets.

Any pointers/links where to look ?

^This. Those are the two most common forms to raise for chickens.

Depending on your setup, you might want to consider giving your chickens access to your compost pile. They will be happy to help mix it while looking for goodies (plant matter, seeds & bugs) and adding some of their own fertilizer. The mixing helps to break down the compost faster.

That will probably not work, but I am eyeballing it.
I was wondering if something was archived on BYC via article.
