didnt quite know where to put this post but this seems to be best place .
well as you probly know i have some new gamefowl hens one shamo and 2 aseel . i live in a very urban area and cant really keep a stag bird to mate with any of them so i was planning on getting some semen from a local breeder who has a nice duckwing shamo around 3 ft tall also a nice kulang aseel black and red . my question is .....
if i do go ahead with this : 1 . around how much semen is required to propperly fertalise a hen for around 3 weeks , 2 . would i have to give semen to the hen bird regularly during this period more than once or is it possible to gove it once to the hen and have fertilised eggs produced for 3 weeks ( i hear this is how long sperm last in hen ) , 3 . the breeder is quite far and would have to travel long distance for it , how would he go about storing the semen so that it stays alive , also how long will it stay alive for outside ? , 4 . and finally how many times could you try extraction from a rooster in a day and would that be enlugh to gurantee fertility of hen for 3 weeks
