Why are these birds so desirable? I often see adverts selling them from £120 to even £800/£900 for a single bird.

Just seen single hen for £400 and cock for £650, is that not outrageous? Most chickens sell for like £5-25?!

I understand they are rather aggressive is this the only reason they're worth so much? Always wondered, keep forgetting to ask!
 
People like them because they’re unique, they’re something different then your regular chicken, they’re tall, and chickens that are harder to breed/get are going to be more expensive to get.

I do understand there is a rarity in the breed and after doing my own looking-up I have found they're in demand for cock-fighting. Although, this activity is highly illegal in almost every country, it is still partaken in.

Their hatching eggs are selling for £100/4 eggs on eBay, quite a good breed to invest in it seems!
