Here is an unusual situation. On Sunday three little chicks hatched under a broody hen. Roll on to Thursday and the last egg pipped . Just when the mother decided she was not going to sit on it any longer but enjoy the sun with her chicks. I had to get the little one out before it got too cold . Amazingly it has survived but I am not sure if the broody will accept it. As it is another darker colour to the others??? Praying tomorrow MIRACLE survives 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤔🤔🤔🤔🐣 Luckily I had an incubator to fluff her up

I think the hen will still accept her. Put her in at night though. Good luck! Great job saving the little one

I have just got some black langshan hatching eggs which I thought were going to a plum colour? They are brown. Does anyone know more about this breed?

I would post a new thread in the general breed discussion forum.
