It kinda hard to see with the angle and lighting with some of the photos but the first one is a golden Sebright chick. Is the chick in the last picture feather footed? If so, I would say a Millie fleur d'uccle
Thank you, yes the last one has feathered feet. We also have a few with a wide dark stripe down the back with naked feet. I'm excited to have some bantams to free range.
Oh much better!
I would still say the first one is a Millie fleur d'uccle and the chipmunk striped one is an ole English game bantam, most likely a silver duckwing.
Awesome! They are little buggers to get pictures of. They move fast! They are so fun tho and our kids just love them. We will be adding some EE and Sussex in two weeks. I love having a little bit of a mystery tho.
Yes it is really fun my bantams were the best free rangers. I had a few d'uccles and a silver duckwing pair, and the silver duckwing pullet would always see how high she could go in a tree, and fly down. They're very alert and move really fast, which is good for watching for danger.
I just love the EEs too. I've had about 20 hens and have 6 in the brooder right now. I like how they can hatch out looking different than the parents and everyone has loved the green eggs.
Yes I'm excited for the personalities! We love in a very rural area and just bought an old farmhouse to restore. I now have the yard space for my gardens and chickens. It will be nice to be in the country. It's a ways from town but we don't mind.
Looks like we picked out the same chicks (especially is you got them at TSC)! I agree, I see golden seabrights, d'uccles and OEGB. I also scored bantam leghorns and a bantam EE.
My d'uccles aren't as dark as yours though, maybe mine are porcelain? Good luck with your chicks, they're cuties!
