Right now I have a Little Giant (two actually) incubator that I've been able to hatch eggs out of just fine but I want something better and have these for my backup. I was looking at the Sportsman incubators (more like slobbering over them heh) and while they're perfect there's one thing that I don't like - I don't need quite THAT much room to incubate eggs.. and I seriously doubt I ever will. I like the one where it's an incubator and can have a small hatching tray at the bottom and better humidity control.. is there something smaller than that but bigger than a Little Giant? I hope that even makes sense, lol.

I dont know anyone that makes a small version of those incubators. The turners in those incubator are the reason for there size. Even if you made one with only one turning shelf an the hatching shelf you would only make it about 6 inches shorter. So its not really worth building a single shelf version like that. Bigger also means more stable too.

How many eggs do you want to incubate at a time?

Brinsea (my fav manufacturer of incubators) offers the MiniECO, the MiniAdvance, and the MiniAdvance EX incubators. The ECO holds 10 eggs, but has no turner. The Advance has an autoturner. The Advance EX has a turner and a humidity pump.

The Octagon20 ECO, Advance, and EX holds up to 24 eggs. Same features as the above.
