At what age and how do you restrict feed for meat birds?

My first batch of meat chickens are almost 3 weeks old. I've got 11 Cornish X, and 6 each of Red Ranger and Pioneer.

Thus far they've had pretty free access to feed. At first, I was feeding solely fermented feed, but in the past week, I've been offering both dry and fermented.

I think in the next few days, I ought to start restricting it some. I've read about a couple ways of doing it, but I'm not sure what's best.

Thanks!

I start at 2 weeks. Basically i put enough in there for the day and then they are without for the night. Some are more regimented in feed restriction in that they offer a few hours in am.. then take away .. then give back then take away.. too much work for me. I only lost one bird to a heart attack out of 300 the last run we did with that method. so I'm going to say it works :)
