at what age can u tell genders apart with white leghorns and RIR's?
i read that leghorns mature up early and i'm woundering how early can u tell the gender's apart thru the comb?
also RIR's?

I would say 5-6 weeks for leghorns. Not sure about RIRs

white leghorns are pretty early. a few weeks old and it is pretty evident.

3-5 weeks for male Leghorns and 5-8 weeks for male RIR.

yep. he's standing on a firm foundation. not just for morality sakes, but that head needs help.

watch for pink combs fairly quickly on the cockerels. very yellow combs for the pullets.​

My five little leghorns are just over 3 weeks and it's obvious that I've got 3 roos and 2 pullets.
