At what age do they start crowing?

As I was laying down to sleep this morning at 4am, I swear I heard our cockeral crowing. He's about 4 months old, is this the right age?

Mine have started crowing anywhere from 12 - 16 weeks. It's so cute when they're practicing!

My serama rooster first crowed at 4 weeks.

I did a hatch of Jersey Giants in December, and I swear that one of them crowed as a THREE day old! My DH, who is not a chicken person, came & told me that he thought one was sick - it had made a weird and LOUD noise. I went in, we both stood & watched as he stretched way up high and "crowed." Then, we didn't hear it again until he was 8 weeks old.

Wow, I guess my little guy is a bit slow! He's a silkie, aren't they supposed to be slow to mature? Can't remember where I read that.

They crow way to early in life and way to much. Mine around 10 weeks.
