Ate too fast or crop problem?

I just fed my chickens, and strangely, my bantam Silver started making this jerking/gasping motion with her head, as if she was struggling to swallow. I looked inside her beak and the feed was piled up in her throat. Everybody else wasn't experiencing this, and it took about five minutes before the food fully went down. She's fine now, and I removed the feeder from her.
Is this a crop problem? Or was did she just eat too fast?

Sounds like she ate too fast, but I'd monitor her crop for a few days to make sure it's emptying overnight.

Do you provide feed free choice during the day or just feed a couple of times a day?

I try to make sure they have access to feed whenever they please, but they like to eat it all in one sitting.

Mine eat throughout the day, never all in one sitting.
