Have you tried putting the rubber shelf liner on your hatching trays? Since I have been using it, I have not had any spraddle leg problems.

I have rubber liner down and love it. I haven't had this issue with any other eggs, just this group of silkies. The legs aren't really out to the side but are like a frank breech baby. They extend more straight forward. I should have taken a video of the last one I hatched. It looks like the shell is smaller than it should be and they develop with their feet and legs not curled under. I really want to see how someone else does with them.
