Auracana lethal gene? what?

Is there anybody knowledgeable on the subject of the Auracana's "lethal gene" issue and breeding/incubating issues associated therewith?

I've just set 18 banty Auracana eggs today. 6 went in last week, but only one candled okay.

Ear tufts is the Araucanas Letal gene.When the babie has 2 copys of it day in the egg.This is reson many breeders to breed tufted roo to tuftless hens or the other way so babies has only one copy tuft gene.This metod gives 50% chicks with no tuft gene and 50% with one copy but showing tufts and good hatchability
