Australop. Change of eye colour

My Australop's eyes have changed from black to orange. Does anyone know why this has happened? Could it be age related?

I've heard lots of other people say their Australorps eye color changed. I don't think its disease related (as eye color change can be a sign of disease), I think its just something to do with the breed.
