My Australorp chick has always been very very calm. She seemed to sleep more than the others at first. She's also been picked on by the other chicks in the flock. When I take her out of the brooder for some time out in the grass and sun, she seems perfectly fine--active and interested in her surroundings. Now that she's feathering out though, I'm noticing that her feathers are a little more tattered looking...not quite as smooth and sleek as the other girls. I've always assumed that she is just a very calm bird. But her feathers are making me wonder if she's sick. Any thoughts?
