Australorp: Hen or Roo

Hi guys,
This is my 17 week old Australorp, purchased at 1 week old. I have no idea if its a hen or a roo though. It has a few orange/red feathers on its head and neck and it is always fighting with my other roo.

It's definetly an australorp (called Ollie

) but i'm pretty confused about the gender

at 17 weeks, I think it's a pullet.

I was thinking it was a pullet until I saw a post about hackle feathers. It has pointy feathers and the have turned orange...

TeriyakiChicken, do a google image search for black sex link pullet. (I did) they have some orange on their necks and Australorps don't, sorry.

I think pullet. That old should have all the defining characteristics of a male at that point...

Thanks! When we bought them (1 week old) from a hatchery and they said it was an Australorp. I don't really care about the breed but I really hope its a hen!

I have 14 BAs and not one has red on them anyplace. It's a pullet though.
