Australorp or Marans?

The clean legged chick on the left is supposedly an Australorp pullet purchased from a farm store. The chick on the right is a Black Copper Marans (cockerel) that I hatched out.

Other than legs they look the same—eye dot and all.
Is the Australorp really a mislabeled BCM?

They are 3 weeks.

It is Australorp - clean legs, pink skin. Both breeds have similar feather genes, so as babies they look the same sometimes. When groan up BCM should develop more red feathers.

1st is Black Australorp, 2nd is a Maran.
