Our 11 Australorps are just about 3 months old now. I bought all females, but it only gave a 90% guarantee. I'm wondering how can I tell which one(s), if any at all, are rooster(s). The all look pretty much the same. Some of them have lost there little baby-peeping and are sort of clucking.

At 12 weeks cockerel’s combs should be quite red by now. Pullets will still have small yellowy/pink combs. Other than that, I’m not sure of any breed specific sex traits Australorps might have. If you get stuck, just post some pics and everyone will help.

Female. Rounded saddle feathers and tail.

Not the greatest picture because he was mean as heck, but the males have very red waddle & comb. Tail has more plumage and the saddle feathers are more prominent.

Don't let her bright red waddle & comb fool you, take a close look at her saddle feathers and tail, definitely a pullet.
