Hi all,

Is it normal for an australorp to have white tipped wings? I will get pictures if I need to but thought I would find out if I needed to first. It is a five week old female and looks like an australorp other than the white on the tips. When her wings are close to her body it is odd looking at her from behind because you see is the pure white. The white coloring is the actual wing feathers and not the white baby fuzz they have.

Maybe this is too vague a question but I thought I would see if there was any feedback.

Thanks.

Definitely on the white tips. I believe they lose those feathers on their first adult molt. Totally normal for Australorps.

Thanks for the feedback! She is the most curious of the bunch but dumb as a box of rocks. I am glad to know what I have now:)

I have one that looks exactly like that! My mom and I split an order and we got one with white tips and one without. I took the tipped one because she's so dapper!
