I bought several Black Australorp crossed chicks this spring, this is the only one that survived my dog attacking them. The mom is a Buff Orpington.
As a youngster she wasn't that impressive.
But as a point of lay pullet she is gorgeous!
So I have a Buff Orpington Roo and used my niece's Black Australorp hen and hatched out several more Australorpington chicks. They are all going to look just like Blondie.
I hope they are as good a layer as their mom.
