When designing a auto-turner rack, how "far" do they rotate. If it is sitting flat at 0° is going up 45° and then 45° past 0 in the other direction for a total of 90° good enough? Also in the racks eggs are sat on end and then when in lockdown/hatchery do they just lay its side?

hi 45 seems a bit much to me. and i hatch all my eggs on the racks, straight up. are you building a turner?

I don't think 45 be too much, that's about what mine does and that's what the others I've seen do. As long as they don't fall out I'd imagine you're good.
