Hi All, I live in the northeast and we get some really cold temperatures, any recommendations for an automatic coop door that is reliable?

I need one to go on the inside between the beams.

Thanks!

I'm in the Northeast, too. I have the Happy Henhouse automatic door, and it's been working out great so far! I've had it for about a year and a half. It has both a light sensor and a timer mode, and you can adjust everything yourself (how dark it should be when it opens/closes etc.) It's battery-operated, easy to install, easy to set. I have mine on the inside of the coop. The size of the door opening of the coop doesn't really matter, as the auto door sits on the wall, not inside the door opening. If your opening is smaller than the auto door frame, then the frame can just sit on the wood around the opening. And if it's smaller than your opening, then you can make the opening smaller by nailing boards around it or taking a large board bigger than the opening, cutting a hole in it to fit the auto door, and nailing that to the wall.

Here's my setup:
