I may be over thinking this, but has anyone ever used a red bucket with the red side nipples? I am worried that with red on red they will have a hard time. I have a few extra red 5gal buckets and didn't want to have to buy a white one or something. Thought about painting a strip around the bottom where i attach the nipples. Thanks for any thoughts.

You probably aren't overthinking since it is a valid consideration.
You don't have to buy a white one. Most delis, bars, restaurants, bakeries, etc. have white 5 gallon food grade buckets that they throw away when they are empty.
I've gotten about 30 pickle buckets from a Welsh pub over the course of 2 years or so. That was a very busy restaurant that went through almost a bucket of pickles a day. They had white ones for whole pickles and green ones for slices. At any rate, food grade was the most important thing.
