Automatic Door Closer

I bought an automatic door closer and it’s erratic opening and closing using the timer mode. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. Anyone got one of these?

I’m a bit unclear also about the light sensitivity icons on the display; quarter moon, sun, etc. My coop is mostly in the shade. Would that mean using the moon setting? The instructions are poorly translated and this the second unit since the first one I received would only open and close manually.

There’s no customer service number or email that works. Amazon customer service is of no help.

Hello BillM2, I haven't yet ordered one of these automatic chicken doors quite yet for my coop, but have you checked how long it's been running for the battery usage, or is it solar paneled?
And if it is solar paneled, then the location of where your coop may be the problem being said it's in the shade.

Hey there! We just built our new coop and installed an automatic door and put it on solar power. I'm still trying to get it to work properly. We are in a forested area and there is a roof over the door location so I'm not getting enough light no matter what I do. Decided to use the time function. This will be the first day so I have no input on that yet. I'll know more tomorrow. I AM however, having trouble getting the remote to work. It has power, batteries, lights indicate it's paired, but it still won't work. If anyone has any ideas what it could be please let me know.
