Automatic hut door

I have a Chinese knock off turkey sized door I got from Amazon that is no longer available. It has a daylight sensor that I supplement with LED lighting to keep it open at night. It also has a sensor if a bird is in the opening. Been working great since 2021. If you are an engineering sort it could be homemade. Solenoid, sensor box, aluminum plate, metal guide rails:

The ducks put themselves to bed 99% of the time. Not sure what to say beyond that but feel free to ask specifics.

If I buy one again I'd probably get an Ador but that is because they are the only one I've found that offers turkey/goose sized. Or DIY from YouTube.

Edit: Mine also has a remote which is really handy for manual opening/closing.

I use Pullet-Shutt doors. Their "Turkey" door is large enough for my Dewlap Toulouse geese. If you have only ducks, I feel that their "standard" chicken door will be adequate.
