Automatically closing door with quail?

Recently had an attack and my entire raised from eggs flock of special cuternix quail was killed. Going to be hatching more and adding a few predator precautions but due to a weird rule where the coop is I can’t bury anything or use concrete. The coop has an outdoor part and an indoor part that has a wooden floor. I was wondering if when rebuilding the coop I could use a chicken automatic door that closes at night? It would make life much easier (especially for when I leave town- the attack happened while someone else was watching them) but I wasn’t sure whether quail were quite smart enough to know to go inside at night.

I would not use an automatic door for quail.
Can you post a few pictures of your set up so we can help you make it predator proof?
