Avain flu I have been hearing a lot about this in my area. I understand there are some precautions to take. I want to make the a run for my flock. I was reading one of the best thing you can do is cover it. Is there any disinfectant you can or should use on the ground to reduce the risk? Before putting my flock in?

That's a good question. I haven't heard of treating the ground, but I have heard that avian flu only stays in surfaces about 48 hours, not sure how long it could survive in faeces on the ground, but personally I would simply get everything as clean as possible and then wait a few days.
But if your flock is currently free ranging, the ground will pose no more risk than they're already under- unless you have them in a different covered pen and are simply moving them?

Best you can do against AF is making a large covered run instead of free ranging.

Disinfecting the soil is a bad idea. But if you are afraid to walk wild birds poop into the coop / run. You can change shoes before entering or desinfect you’re boots (eg 30 seconds in chloride water) .

And don’t buy new chicks or chickens.

Thank you! I am making the a run, they currently don't have one. I do plan on putting then in a fenced in area with some kind of top/ cover.
