Avian Water Nipple

Help has anyone had the avian water nipples stick and leak?? Ours are getting stuck off to the side a little after the chicken hits it with her beak and then it just drips. BIG MESS, the shavings are getting soaked. Let me know if this is something that can be fixed!

Never had that problem. I bought mine from QC supply, but I imagine they're all made in the same factory somewhere.

Do you have hard water? Mineral buildup could cause that.

Make sure there is no sediment clogging it and use some vinegar to cut any mineral buildup.

I didnt think about mineral buildup!! I know the heater gets some white stuff on it so maybe some small sediment got down in the little toggle thingy! I fill the water bucket with non softened water. Thanks for the brain restart, i will soak it in vinegar. Kate
