Aviary netting to protect from hawks?

Wanting to add grazing area for chickens . . . has anyone tried using aviary netting staked to the ground?

I use the netting over the top of my chicken run. It keeps the hawks out. I had a hawk attack my chickens before I put it up and no issues since. They must be able to see the netting even while flying over.
