I saw this old post: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=267851 and it got me thinking. Could I attach cables between my trees then drape aviary netting over the cables and attach to fence to get the overhead height needed? I have a 4 foot fence with clumps of trees (not as heavily treed as the photo in this thread), with about a 75' diameter open grassy area. Right now good for dwarf goats, but would like to make it available to the chickens to run in also. We have hawks, coyotes, occassional fox. I think we may try this. Any thoughts or suggestions before I wear myself out trying? Anyone done something similar?

Um, put electric wire on your fence for coyotes, make an 'apron' (use search for good ones) to keep out foxes and other critters that will burrow.

I'd put CDs and weave ribbon through the aviary netting to keep hawks from getting tangled
