Hi- new here! And to incubating-Hatched 5 baby ducks and 3 are not like the other 2. They are having trouble learning to walk and the poor things have weird neck twitches and sometimes spaz out and flip on their back and get stuck. I can not find any info on this anywhere. Thank you!

Welcome to BYC, Ashlynne! I'm sorry you're having trouble with your ducklings.
Can you post pics and a video? Sounds like either a neurological issue or a thiamine deficiency. Are your ducks crested by chance? I had one with a thiamine deficiency once and it had similar symptoms. How old are they? Get some Durvet Vit. B Complex. It looks like this.

That will help fix the deficiency. I like to give it to them all in their water. Put in a few squirts. For the affected ones, put it over a treat so they eat it all. @Miss Lydia can help on actual dosages, I just guess, lol. It says injectable but use it orally. Good luck with them. Hopefully they feel better soon.

In chickens this is likely caused by a nutritional deficiency- maybe vitamin B? However, I am not sure about ducks. Hopefully someone else has more info.
Ok Ill keep looking.
Thank you for your time

Thank you so very much for replying to me.
I think it’s Wry Neck from what I have been reading. I got some niacin and vitamin B complex so hopefully that will help. I am feeding him very carefully (with a dropper)some wet duck scratch. I will take and post a video tomorrow.
I didn’t expect such a warm quick response so thank you so so much.

Poor babies. I hope you can fix them up! The complex will definitely help. That stuff is great. You're welcome, Ashlyn. Good luck with them!
