Today, for the first time, my three little darlings went back into their coop all by themselves! Being a newbie brings so many little pleasures. They know their home! Yippee...makes me more comfortable when they are out in the yard alone. (hey,' ya gotta go' in the house sometimes)

That is nice. Brag away, that's what we come here for! I just made a flash card of last year's pictures for the in-laws for Christmas...and 3/4 of the photos are dogs and chickens.

I still have one (at 20 months) that needs to be convinced that 'in' is better than 'out' when it gets dark. The rooster pops out and chases her back in. he is a great employee. He works hard for just scratch.

Wish I could have a roo! They sound like great little 'flock' managers and, as you say, they work for scratch.
