ayam cemanis eggs in incubator

How to set up the egg incubator
  • Optimum temperature: 100.5 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Temperature range: 99-102 degrees Fahrenheit. ...
  • Relative humidity, day 1-17: 50-55 percent. ...
  • Relative humidity, day 18-21: On day 18, raise the relative humidity to 70 percent.
All chickens use same temperature range that I know of.

Does the temperature and humidity change per different breed of chicken?
What temperature/ humidity should my Cemanis be at ?
Temp/humidity doesn't need to chabge depending on the breed.
37.5°C is optimum but anything from 37-38 degrees celsius is okay.
Humidity really depends on you. I do 40%-50% up to day 18 then after day 18 I do 60%-65%

If these are shipped eggs the only thing I would add would be - to incubate days 1-18 at 30-35% humidity. 19-21 at 45-50% humidity.
After being shipped and knocked around the air cells are watery and loose. Incubating at a drier humidity can help them tremendously.
(by the way: across the board you will find everyone agrees on temperature range almost no one agrees on humidity range. ;) )

We used this method and only one hatched and the membrane was stuck to the chick and she has curled toes. We had to help her the whole process as the shell and membrane was stuck to her back. We opened another egg and that was very sticky too but the baby had died. They were all moving before we upped the humidity to 70. We have read that Ayam cemanis need lower humidity

Sorry to hear your results were not IDEAL. :hugs
On your next incubation, keep track of your numbers, and hatch results. Post them here.
We are all here to learn. :frow
