Az heat and chicks

You need to have cold water available for them to drink. They will dehydrate, and not drink water that is too warm.
A shallow wading pool, is also good to keep them cool.
So, for their drinking water, many slip in blocks of ice during the day.
Consider asking anything you need on the Arizona State thread. I hang out there,, because I have Phoenix Az ties.

Will even 1 week old chick figure our to stand in cool water? I have chickens and I use the red clay bricks in water and they keep cool that way. I normally don't hatxh chicks this time of year but lost my rooster and wanted to hatch his off spring while I had so.e viable eggs.
