B!t@hy bird at 6 weeks????

Our girls are in their coop full time and we often go in the run to sit with them and feed them dandylions. Today the one that i think is going to be thr "boss" hen pecked my daughter and drew blood!!! She was seeking out fingers from all of us as we were holding the dandylions.....

Did we poorly socialize them??? Or is this normal amd we just have to watch out???

She is seeking to be dominant. It's up to you to convince her that is not going to be the case.

If she pecks at you, force her firmly to the ground and hold her there until she stops struggling. If she comes back at you, repeat the process until she gives up. Pullets are generally relatively easy to reprogram. Cockerels can be another story. Good luck with her attitude adjustment.

You can also hold her down, pull her by the tailfeathers (not hard) & push her head down.
Same as a rooster would do to establish dominance .
