BABIES are hatching!- UPDATED W/ PICS

The last 2 hatched today. So I ended up hatching 9 out of 16 eggs. The other 7 eggs never had anything growing in them so I feel pretty good.

I only had to help 1 out of the egg. He worked for about 20 hours and only had a little hole pecked out. I peeled away most of the shell and left the membrane. I checked him a few hours later and he still wasn't able to break through the membrane. I then helped him by opening up the membrane some more (no blood) and he was finally able to get out. He (or she) was the biggest one and the first one to start pipping.

Thanks to everyone. I've learned a lot just by reading what everyone else has been through.

Now I'm starting 13 Speckled Sussex eggs. I will let you know how those turn out.
