Babies arrived for a couple first timers!

Another thought - are you still using the poultry nipple? I had mine hanging for a day before I switched it out for another hanging waterer. I just don't think they were getting enough water.

Were they vaccinated for anything? It's definitely concerning you've had a couple decline and pass away - it makes me think there may be something circulating. I'd for sure try to give them some fresh water and make sure they have space away from the heat lamp.

I only had the heat lamp in the hospital pen for Penny and ditched it pretty quick as I could not keep the heat below 97-98 with the lamp 3ft above the enclosure. It's no less than 80 deg in there all night login so I don't think it is necessary at this point based on how many feathers she has and she did OK last night without it. I have another thread over here based on her slide.

I have both a regular chick waterer and the nipple in the main pen with the rest fo the gang and Lavender the cross bill seem to be doing fine with the nipple and wet food. She was the first to "fly the coop". Funny thing is she didn't know what to do after that so she came over to me so I could put her back. LOL

So far only one out of 8 has passed away and it was the other besides Penny that were showing signs of weakness since arrival. Penny bounced back, Genevieve did not. Now Penny is sliding but hanging on with some help. See the other thread for more info on that effort and the help I've received so far.

Of course! I'm sorry for your experience. One of our 9 week old pullets got into something bad outside the other day and I spent about 2 hours crying thinking she was going to die. She's totally fine! Our silkie also had a head-tic for about 3 weeks that went away. I hope it's just temporary for Penny!

Could you give her a little watermelon if she's not drinking water? Or something that's a water dense food? (I think you need chick grit with watermelon though.) I watched the video in your last thread and honestly am not an expert on chick disease or behavior, but you might search "dizzy chick" in this forum to see what past threads have said/suggested.
