Do what you did to the feeder. Build a safety zone where the chicks can get to, but a big bird can't follow them. Then just let them work it out. They will, but it will be on their terms.

Hey fellow chook lovers,
Thank you all for your replies. The chook house is like the Tag Mahal with all bells and whistles. Freshly built by my carpenter husband. I think it's about 4x4metres with 2 large laying boxes, large L shaped perches with hemp beds behind (makes poo clean-up so much easier)and cement floor covered with hay. Because of the tormenting and their food being eaten, we built a small wired off area where they can eat and drink and the big chooks can't get in.The big chooks have a treadle feeder and bowl of water. Outside in their lockable yard there is a bowl of water, roof protected area no rain and lots of dry dust/sand. We live on 2/3 acre so the chooks free range. I'll take some photos.
