Babies Coming

I ordered some babies and should have them in a week or so. I am little concerned at the moment reading through some of the threads.

I thought I specifically ordered egg laying chickens. But seeing the threads means I could receive roo's. That would be bad and how would I get rid of them?

Any advice

Did you order straight run birds (unsexed) or sexed birds? If you ordered straight runs you will get some roos. If you ordered sexed you still might get a roo or two. Putting extras on Craigslist or Freecycle is a pretty good way to get rid of them.

Star - Standard - Red ($2.50)
--> Females (+$0.50)

Easter Egger - Standard ($2.75)
--> Females (+$0.50)
Australorp - Standard
--> Females (+$0.50)

Plymouth Rock - Standard - Barred ($2.50)
--> Females (+$0.50)


So how can they tell if they are female at hours old?
