I've been wondering for some time now how to get the 3 new chicks into the original coop with my one remaining hen. They hang out in her coop all day, but as it gets dark out they come and head over to theirs (built specifically as a brooder/grower coop). Last night, to my surprise, all 3 went into hers a dusk and settled in. When she went in, one of them 'chickened out' and came racing out and went to the baby coop, but the others kinda looked at her like 'what's wrong with you?'. The adult clucked and fussed, but they didn't budge and she settled on down. This morning, all was well except for the loner (Daffy), who was very excited to get out of her self-imposed exile. Hope they do it again tonight! If so, I'll probably wait until around 9 and move Daffy in with them so they'll all wake up together.
