baby #3 is here!

Well, yesterday my second set of Emu eggs started to hatch....Oscar hatched yesterday at 9am....he/she is doing well and will come out of the incubator today and into the brooder with Bert and Ernie. I'll post photos soon.

As you probably guessed, my children get to name the birds, and we have a Sesame Street theme going right now. I am just surprised they haven't used "BIG BIRD" yet.

Have 3 more eggs due anytime.

well..the babies continue to arrive. 4 out of 7 have hatched now.....2 more are rocking and making noise now.

Here are my two oldest Bert and Ernie (in the large fenced in pen) and then the two that were just born yesterday and today, they are Oscar and Elmo, in the rubbermaid.
