baby bantams

Next Spring if I buy 3 bantam chicks(st.run) at the feed store will one of them be a female? Would my silkie thats always broody take care of them? Has anyone had any luck with this? How long will it take for me to know whick ones are male (crowing)?

i originally got 2 around easter and went back to get a girl for my girl so she wouldnt be left with the roo. (you could tell at that point. i ended up getting 2 roos out of 3. both got new homes, and replaced with sexed standards.
