Baby birds and fleas

I need to treat my yard for fleas ( use SEVIN dust) BUT I have several nests of baby birds in yard. I dont want to harm them. any suggestions?

The birds will fledge in a couple of weeks. Then you will be set.

You might try food grade diatomaceous earth. It's available at Home Depot and gardening stores. Good for the yard, and non-toxic.

Also, nematodes are good in gardens. They'll eat flea eggs and are a good addition to any garden.
