Ok so i have one chick thats alone, i hatched 4 but 2 died and one was token to a different farm since it was a rooster and now I'm stuck with one silkie chick. I have 4 other silkies a 2 year old rooster and some younger hens but i was wondering can i mix them already the baby silkie is almost 3 months and is fully feathered, the youngest adult bird i have is 8 months, or what should i do with her?

It's difficult to predict behavior in chickens. I would put them together and observe their behaviors paying closer attention to the roo's attitude towards a younger, immature bird. There's bound to be some bullying at first so it's important that there's ample space for the chick to get out of the others' way when it needs to.

Again, you'll need to watch the birds closely at first. Being silkies my guess is that everything will work out fine.

My daughters usually try to raise chicks. they are just sooo vulnerable. especially when it's down to just one. they get so stressed, loneliness is just too much.
