I got my new chicks on Friday and a couple of them have diarrhea. It's brown with no red tint. I'm worried about dehydration. Everyone seems chipper and happy. Could it be stress from being shipped and rehomed? Or could there be something bad going on? Appreciate all the help!

Sometimes heat and electrolytes can cause diarrhea. Can you post some pictures of the droppings? Some loose ones are completely normal.

I scooped some out and took it to natural light. It looks darker in the pictures to me.

So, you don't want to look at this if you are feeling queasy, but it is a chart that shows normal droppings. The one in your pictures does resemble ceacal poop, which is normal, but they shouldn't be having those droppings all the time. It is a bit dark, too, but I wouldn't worry if their other poos look normal.

They are eating Dumor chick starter/grower. They are all eating and drinking good also. And they have what I would call "normal" poos too. It's definitely not every poo or even every baby. Thank you for checking it out for me!

Yes, always good to be sure and check. Enjoy your little ones!
