Baby Chick Foot Problem

Just purchased new bitties from the local agri store. One of them has little balls of what appears to be dried up poo on everyone of her toes. I tried to pull it off as it looks disgusting, but to no avail. It is stuck on there pretty good. It looks like where she walked around in the poo with the other 100 bitties and it dried up on her toenails. Will it affect growth? Should I just leave it alone and not worry about it or try some water on it to get it off? Thanks for your advice.

I would try to very gently get it off of her. Mineral oil works well in small amounts for glued on poo removal.
