I noticed a lump growing above the tail and now the lump has turned yellow on its sides (pus inside) as you can see in the pictures I uploaded.
The chick eats & drinks alright but feels more sleepy than the others & not as active. And also keeps his/her feather fluffy all the time, like if feeling cold. And its not like he/she is sitting or sleeping all the time, but always moving with the others.
The lump was not there when I got him/her but after 2 weeks the lump grew & was noticeable. Also when the lump was just a little smaller than in the picture, there was no pus inside.
Please give some advice.
Thank you

I am not sure what that is, but it might be a feather cyst or possibly a tumor. If it seems like an abscess, you could try lancing it and try to squeeze out any pus. Let us know if it is filled with pus, fluid, or just some blood. Or take her to a vet.

I'm also wondering if it's the preen gland (uropygial gland), that has gotten blocked and possibly infected. Because of the small lump (see arrow below) that is on the larger lump is what makes me think possibly that. If it's the preen gland you may be able to use warm compresses and gentle massage to unblock it. A cyst or tumor is still also a possibility. If it is infected, it may need antibiotics.
Here is a link about that gland: https://www.beautyofbirds.com/birdoilgland.html

Thank for the the suggestions. I forgot to write about it. We used warm water and poked the lump but it was hard. So continued poking and then the lump was open from its side. It was filled with waxy stuff inside that we cleaned with warm water and kept applying antisceptic/healing ointment daily till it got healed . Then the chick was normal and healthy again.
