Do you have a bully? Up the protein by feeding mealworms and see if that helps. Some chicks take so long to feather in. I usually place those chicks as they usually are roos. You could also change the feed to something like All Flock

She is supposed to be a sexed pulled when I bought her and I actually feed a mix of flock raiser and gamebird starter been raising chicks for years with no issues then this little one happened

I had a chick that was very slow to feather by a month old he only had some wing feathers and just starting on his back feathers.

Looked like a combo of slow feathering and feather picking from a flock member. Last few batches of chicks I had, there always seemed to be a cockerel that feathered in slow. Both sexes can carry the slow feathering gene, and in my experience it's mostly the larger breeds that are prone to it. My Cochin mix roo and one of his sisters from a following hatch took forever to feather out! Before that, my six sexed pullets had a surprise roo and he was way slower to feather. He stuck out like a sore thumb! He was an Australorp.

I'm curious as to how this chick ended up fairing. I have a chick doing the exact same. Barnyard mix, 3 weeks old.

So an update I separated her into a pen with younger smaller chicks and now I'm proud to say she is fully grown with a beautiful covering of feathers she just was a late bloomer I guess
