Baby chick PLEASE, NO help on emergency waiting over 10 hours.

I have been waiting over 10 hours and no answer from anyone so maybe since it is a holiday OR maybe it belonged here??? so I cut and pasted my post there for help and band aid didn't work the chick still put legs back so I removed band aid. A second chick has hatched from same group of eggs and seems very healthy.

I'm sorry to say I have no experience with something like this.

For any chick who struggles (in any way), I'm a firm believer in adding vitamins and electrolytes to help bolster their tiny bodies. For vitamins, any good pharmacy has Poly-vi-sol (without iron) infant vitamins. It tastes awful, so the chick will try to reject the liquid. If it's a standard size chick, one or two drops is sufficient - a bantam might need just one drop in the beak.

Use your fingernail to gently pry open the beak with the dropper right there, when there's a hint of a crack between the beak, drop away! You'll know you got it when the chick gives you stink eye! Yes, a day old chick can give stink eye REALLY well! So can an infant (my sons surely did! with this same stuff!)

Sorry I wish I could help but am a newbie-- we got 3 week old chicks last week and dont get dayolds til next week.... I feel for you.. do you have a relationship with a vet -- my vet for 17 years always gives me phone advice for free... And some vets do have avian experience....
